Business & Industrial Parks
A business park or office park is an area of land in which many office buildings are grouped together. All of the work that goes on is commercial, not industrial nor residential. These business parks are popular in many suburban locations, where development is cheaper because of the lower land costs and the lower building costs for building wider, not necessarily higher. They are also often located near motorways or main roads.
An industrial park (often referred to as industrial estate, trading estate) is an area zoned and planned for the purpose of industrial development. An industrial park can be thought of as a more “heavyweight” version of a business park or office park, which has offices and light industry, rather than heavy industry.
