Surveying

home-design-sWhen it comes to surveying an existing land parcel or surveying for a new home construction in Hartford County, including Meriden, Bristol, Cheshire, Plainville as well as the city of Waterbury, CT and New Haven, CT, Kratzert, Jones & Associates has over 50 years of experience and can provide survey, home siting support, plot plan for building permit and septic design, house staking, certificate of occupancy.

Our land surveyors will help you to establish land maps and boundaries for ownership, locations like building corners or the surface location of subsurface features, and other purposes required by government or civil law, such as property sales.

The planning and execution of most forms of construction require surveying, but it is also used in transport, communications, mapping, and the definition of legal boundaries for land ownership.

The importance of a Plot Plan

An accurate Plot Plan will show the location of your existing structures, any proposed structures, and the zoning requirements for permitting. If you are planning to build a new home or to place an addition to an existing one that may appear too close to a lot line or close to a zoning violation, having an accurate plot plan can protect your investment. In many cases, if your home addition ends up being built too close to a lot line, or in violation of any of the zoning regulations, the building inspector must insist that you either obtain a Zoning Variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals, or tear the new structure down!

Only a Land Surveyor can certify the location of property lines. Contact us for a free estimate of your project!
